Last night I took a walk after dinner.
As I turned the corner, I saw two women who stood frozen like statues in a doorway.“What are you looking at?” I asked.
“The sunset. Isn’t it magnificent?” I turned around and became statue #3.
As we marveled at mother nature, they sighed. “Our yoga class starts in a few minutes. We have to go.”
I’d been looking for a yoga class. My Airbnb host did not know of any nearby.
“We just opened in August.”
“Great. Count me in.”
At the end of yoga class, I asked the instructor, Emilie from Norway, if she would share how she ended up in this little surfing and fishing town.
“A man. He’s gone but I stayed. I love it here.”
I shared how I ended up in this town and how I wrote a book. “May I read your birthdate from it?” I offered. “Yes!” She listened as I read aloud. Emilie wiped her eyes and said, “I have chills hearing what you read. You need to meet Eva.”
Eva is the owner of Sandhi House. www.sandhihouse.com. It is a yoga retreat house that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.
Her tag line: Check In – Breathe Out. Welcome hOHMe.
Eva poured me tea and we told each other our stories. Eva moved from Norway, and with very little money, opened Sandhi House. Our stories were both different and alike. We both found our way to our inner operating system – our Zone of Genius – the set of activities that are uniquely ours to do. We both love what we do and how we live our lives.
In my book, Savvy Woman in 5 Minutes a Day: Make Time for a Life That Matters, I share: how to discover your path to what you want.
