You hold the key to your happiness. Take responsibility for your life. Do not blame anyone else for your circumstances. Decide whether you want to lift yourself up or put yourself down. Are you for or against yourself? Do you choose those things that give you pain or joy?
To change the way you look at yourself, you have to look into yourself. Identify the ways you pull yourself down. Do you look for love from a job, an unavailable person, or food?
Give as much attention to your successes as you do to your problems. Do not dismiss your accomplishments. Identify one complimentary statement you would like to hear. Say it to yourself. Say it until you believe it. Your ego will fight you on it. This is normal and to be expected.
